Late night shooting near DC stadium sends man to hospital
WASHINGTON, DC — A man was taken to a hospital after gunfire broke out near Nationals Park late Sunday, as two individuals were seen running from the area and officers began searching the surrounding streets.
The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. Sunday in the 1200 block of Half Street SE, a stretch near the stadium and nearby gathering spots. When officers arrived, they located a man with a gunshot wound to his right leg.
He was transported by medics to a hospital. Police said the injury is believed to be non-life-threatening.
