STAFFORD COUNTY, VA – A 41-year-old man from Stafford is currently in custody following allegations of sexual offenses against a minor. The arrest came after a juvenile bravely shared her story, leading to an investigation.
In early May, Deputy K.R. Sprinkles of the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office was alerted by the Department of Social Services about a juvenile under the age of 13 who reported being forced into sexual acts by Marvin Schaeffer Jr. at his South Stafford residence. The severity of the accusations led to the immediate involvement of the Special Victims Unit.
Schaeffer faces 18 charges, including six counts each of forcible sodomy, object sexual penetration, and aggravated sexual battery of a victim under 13. He is being held without bond at Rappahannock Regional Jail. The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office emphasizes its commitment to taking all allegations seriously and urges anyone who is a victim to come forward for support and assistance.
