Community Comes Together to Renovate Jackson Memorial Field House, Locker Room, and Concession Stand

JACKSON, NJ — A collaborative effort between multiple public and private entities has begun to improve the concession stand, field house, and locker room at Jackson Memorial High School’s football field has begun.

The Jackson Board of Education, Mayor Michael Reina, Jackson Township Council President Jennifer L. Kuhn and Councilman Mordechai Burnstein, the Jackson Police Department, Jackson fire companies, the Jackson Education Foundation, the Department of Public Works, and private sponsors and volunteers met on Friday to kick off the initiative.

The group is seeking community volunteers and corporate sponsors to help upgrade the aging facility inside and out.  Now, they are seeking financial donations from local businesses, alumni, and residents to complete the renovations.

Contributions will enhance facility quality and improve experiences for athletes, fans, and community members alike.

There will be a kick-off celebration on Sunday, May 19th, at Jackson Memorial High School from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Mayor Michael Reina praised the efforts of the volunteers.

“The state has cut financial aid to the district that would have allowed them to do these repairs,” Reina said. “This shows what we can do as a community when we all come together for a good cause.”

Sponsorship opportunities range from Bronze ($750) to Gold  ($3,000), each offering escalating benefits, including signage, media mentions, and exclusive naming rights for top-tier donors.

“We are grateful for any contribution, big or small, towards our cause,” organizers said.

“We are organizing a special fundraiser to support our student-athletes,” said Jackson Council President Jennifer Kuhn. Together, we can empower our young athletes to reach their full potential and create a brighter future for our community.”

Additional perks for sponsors include social media recognition, event banners, and a special plaque.

The ultimate goal is to refurbish these spaces, strengthen community pride, support student development, and provide the students with a much-needed improvement to the facility.
