Ex-Con Arrested at Atlantic City Hotel After Housekeepers Find Loaded Gun

MAYS LANDING, NJ – Quadir Webb, a 31-year-old Camden resident, has been sentenced to 10 years in New Jersey State Prison, with five years of parole ineligibility, for multiple firearms offenses.

This decision follows his conviction last year for second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm, second-degree certain persons not to possess a handgun, and two fourth-degree charges related to the possession of hollow point bullets and a large capacity ammunition magazine.

The sentencing is connected to an incident on March 6, 2022, at the Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City. After spending the night at the hotel, Webb and his girlfriend checked out around noon.

Later that day, housekeeping discovered an all-black Glock 17 handgun, loaded with 16 hollow point bullets, in the nightstand drawer of room 1219, where Webb had stayed.

Webb, who attempted to retrieve items from the room later, fled when approached by Atlantic City Police. Investigations confirmed Webb was the last occupant of the room and was not permitted to possess a firearm due to a prior conviction.
