Deadly Two-Car Crash in Newark

Newark, DE – The Delaware State Police are investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash that left one man dead from injuries sustained in an incident that occurred on Sunday morning. A 27-year-old man from Newark, Delaware, was ejected from a Chevrolet and later died at the hospital while the driver was transported with non-life-threatening injuries.

The collision on East Chestnut Hill Road involved a Ford Mustang driving at a high speed and colliding with a Chevrolet. Following the crash, the roadway was closed for about four hours.

The Delaware State Police Troop 2 Collision Reconstruction Unit is continuing its investigation and seeking witnesses to provide any relevant information.
