Pennsylvania Fugitive Arrested in Florida In High Speed Chase After Judge Set Him Free

by Local News Report

Pittsburgh, PA – Sheriff Kevin M. Kraus announced the return of Hermas Craddock, 37, to Allegheny County after being arrested in Florida following an alleged high-speed pursuit involving the Pennsylvania State Police. Craddock, a Verona resident, had fled to North Carolina before being apprehended by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

Despite facing multiple felony and misdemeanor charges, he was previously released on a non-monetary bond, which led to his arrest for violating a previous bond on a gun case announced to go to trial in June.

Craddock has been processed into the Allegheny County Jail. He is awaiting a preliminary hearing on charges related to the high-speed pursuit and an upcoming non-jury trial for the unrelated gun charge.
