This Wildwood Crest 50s Era Motel Transformed Into Oceanfront Resort

The iconic former Ocean View Motel in Wildwood Crest has completed its transformation from a 50s roadside doo-wop motel into an oceanfront resort.

Madison Resorts, along with its founder Dan Alicea, is set to inaugurate its latest luxury resort on Thursday, May 16th. The grand opening is scheduled to commence with a red ribbon ceremony attended by local dignitaries, followed by an exclusive VIP and media party. The celebration will extend throughout the weekend with media tours and various festivities for guests.

The newly launched resort integrates the historic Oceanview Motel and the adjacent Royal Hawaiian property into a single expansive facility. Boasting 200 guest rooms, the resort will feature an array of amenities including three restaurants, two swimming pools with cabana and poolside seating for over 100 guests, two hot tubs, options for beachfront weddings, two fitness centers, five conference rooms, two rooftop event spaces, and pet-friendly accommodations.

A substantial investment exceeding $52 million was allocated for extensive renovations that not only upgraded the facilities but also preserved the cherished doo-wop style architecture iconic to the Oceanview Motel. Starting today, the resort’s first tower of rooms will be available for booking, ensuring guests can enjoy the new accommodations even before the official grand opening.
