CHAMBERSBURG, PA — Police confirmed the extradition of a man accused of a 2016 rape in Pennsylvania. Carlos Martinez-Franco was arrested in Conroe, TX, on March 4 and has been extradited to face his trial.
Martinez-Franco is charged with multiple felonies, including forcible rape and sexual assault, stemming from an incident on July 12, 2016, in Chambersburg. The arrest occurred on the 200 block of East Liberty Street/US Route 11.
A warrant for his arrest was issued on October 5, 2016. His preliminary arraignment took place on Friday at 8:00 AM before Magisterial District Judge Jody C. Eyer. He is currently held at Franklin County Jail with bail set at $300,000. Another arraignment is scheduled for May 14 at 8:30 AM.
