QUEENS, NY — A robbery at the Food Town Supermarket on 76-10 37th Avenue led to an employee being injured on Wednesday, May 1. Around 1:30 PM, two unidentified males entered the store, stealing a knife and various food items. When a 38-year-old male employee tried to intervene and retrieve the stolen goods, one of the robbers brandished the stolen knife, resulting in a scuffle.
During the altercation, the employee suffered a laceration to his right hand. The suspects fled the scene on foot heading east on 37th Street. Emergency Medical Services treated the injured employee at the scene. Police are currently seeking the two individuals involved in this incident.
