Summer Recreation Programs Open for Registration in Brick, NJ

BRICK, NJ — With summer approaching, Brick Recreation is offering a variety of programs to keep the youth engaged during the vacation period. Here are some of the programs available for registration:

  1. Summer Basketball Camp: Open to residents in grades 4-8, this clinic will be held at Hank Waltonowski Park. Participants can choose between two sessions: June 24-27 or July 8-11, both running from 9 AM to 12 PM. The fee is $75 per participant.
  2. Summer Outdoor Basketball League: A relaxed, co-ed league for grades 5-8 and high school students that runs from July 8 through August 11. With two games per week and no practices or playoffs, it’s all about fun. Games are held at Arrowhead Park, with a cost of $75 per player.
  3. Junior Lifeguard Camp: Designed for ages 10-15, this camp offers a glimpse into the life of a Brick Township Lifeguard. It includes professional surf training and basic first aid and CPR instruction (no certifications). The camp meets on four consecutive Mondays starting June 24 from 9:45 AM to 11 AM at Brick Beach III. The fee is $85 per participant.
  4. Street Hockey Clinic: Available for residents in grades K-8, this clinic teaches the basics of hockey with no equipment needed as sticks are provided. Sessions are on Wednesdays from 6 PM to 7 PM, July 10 through August 14, at Hank Waltonowski Park. The fee is $30 per participant.
  5. Track and Field Clinic: For grades 3-9, this four-day clinic at Brick Township High School Track will cover various track and field events. Scheduled for July 15-18 from 8 AM to 11 AM, the clinic costs $60 per participant and focuses on skills that are beneficial across sports.
