New Jersey Construction Worker Falls 30 Feet in Scaffolding Collapse at Job Site

TEANECK, NJ – Two construction workers on a scaffolding had a fright of their lives when the scaffolding started to collapse. One of the workers quickly jumped off the scaffolding into a nearby window, the other went down in the collapse, suffering injuries.

The incident, reported today, happened last Friday at around noon according to police.

The injured worker was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. He is employed by FM Construction Group out of East Orange.

The incident happened at the construction site of a 7-story apartment project.

The $74.2 million 256-unit apartment complex sits on a 6.9 acre site and is being built by Malas Building Corp.
