St. Petersburg resident, Devin Hansen, 28, faces first-degree murder charges for fatally shooting his wife, Yasmin Grijalva, at his parent’s house. He is also accused of domestic battery and aggravated fleeing and eluding by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.
The tragic incident unfolded on April 17, as detailed in an arrest affidavit, when police responded to reports of shots fired on 29th Avenue North in St. Petersburg.
Hansen, after a verbal argument, armed himself, intimidated his wife with a gun, and fatally shot her before assaulting his own mother. Subsequently, he pursued the ambulance carrying his wife in his Cadillac and later crashed the vehicle.
Hansen is currently detained with a $25,000 bond.
