BALTIMORE, MD – Significant traffic changes are set to take effect this Monday on the I-695 Inner and Outer Loops in the southeast corridor, as part of the ongoing Sparrows Point Project. Motorists should be aware of new traffic patterns and road closures.
The Inner Loop of I-695 will be closed at MD 151/North Point Boulevard (exit 42), which will serve as the last exit available to drivers. The Outer Loop closure will continue at MD 173 (exit 1).
All traffic on the I-695 Inner Loop must use Exit 42 to exit. Those needing to access the I-695 Outer Loop should take Eastbound MD 158 (Bethlehem Boulevard) to the on-ramp for the Outer Loop. Drivers exiting the Inner Loop and wishing to return to the Outer Loop are advised to follow Exit 42 towards MD 151 (North Point Blvd.) north to Cove Road.
Only one travel lane will be available on the Outer Loop from MD 158 (Bethlehem Blvd.) to the MD 151 (North Point Blvd.) overpass. Motorists are encouraged to follow posted detours and expect delays.
