Newport News Police Engage with High School Students in Community Forums

NEWPORT NEWS, VA — Newport News Police Department concluded another week of high school forums on Friday, featuring engagements at Warwick High School and Heritage High School.

Chief Drew, accompanied by Assistant Chief Hires, forensic specialist Wells, and Detective Froneberger from the Special Victims Unit, led the sessions. Captain Funaiock and SRO Blanchard participated at Warwick, while Detective Rivera from the Major Crimes Division and SRO Green joined at Heritage. The events were praised for the insightful discussions sparked by the students’ questions.
