MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — The Montgomery County Police Department’s 4th District Investigative Section is seeking the public’s help to identify a suspect involved in a stabbing incident. The crime occurred on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, on Triangle Lane in Wheaton.
At around 2:35 PM, officers were called to the 11200 block of Triangle Lane following reports of a stabbing.
The preliminary investigation indicated that the victim had parked on the 11200 block of Georgia Avenue and was walking on Triangle Lane when the suspect confronted him. The suspect, who was armed with a knife, demanded money and stabbed the victim twice in the right arm before fleeing with an undisclosed sum of money.
Authorities have reviewed surveillance footage from a nearby metro station, leading to a detailed description of the suspect. He is described as a Black male, wearing a gray Nike hooded sweatshirt, glasses, gray sweatpants, Nike flip flops, and carrying a black backpack.
The Montgomery County Police have released the surveillance video and are asking anyone with information to come forward to assist in the investigation.
