Montgomery County Police Seek Public Help to Identify Attempted Abduction Suspect

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD – The Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an attempted abduction of a 10-year-old girl. Detectives have released a composite sketch of the suspect following the incident which occurred in the 18300 Block of Lost Knife Road.

The event took place on Sunday, March 10, 2024, around 3 p.m., when the young girl was approached by an unknown male outside an apartment building. According to the victim, the suspect grabbed her arm and instructed her to come with him. He reportedly fled the scene after noticing police vehicles in the vicinity.

The suspect is described as a light-complected male of unknown race, aged between twenty-five and thirty-five years old, with a thin build. Notably, he has a tattoo on the left side of his face and straight blonde hair. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, black sweatshirt jacket with a hood, and black pants.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of this individual is urged to contact Montgomery County Police. The department hopes that the release of the composite sketch will lead to swift identification and apprehension of the suspect to prevent any future incidents.
