DORCHESTER, MA — On the morning of April 8, the District C-11 Drug Control Unit (DCU) of Dorchester arrested 19-year-old Boston resident David Dillard on charges related to drug trafficking. The arrest followed observations by officers on patrol at 157 Washington Street, responding to community complaints regarding drug activities.
Officers noticed Dillard being approached by several individuals for brief conversations before quickly parting ways, indicative of potential drug transactions. When police attempted to engage, Dillard fled, leading to a foot pursuit that ended with his capture.
A search along Dillard’s escape route led to the discovery of a plastic bag containing two smaller bags of substances believed to be fentanyl, weighing 21 grams, and crack cocaine, weighing approximately 6 grams.
Dillard now faces charges for trafficking class A substances and possession with intent to distribute class B substances. He is set to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
