NEWARK, NJ — Authorities are seeking public assistance to locate Carissa M. Huggins, 32, from East Orange, for questioning related to a shooting investigation.
The incident under investigation occurred on the evening of April 1st, when police were alerted to a man seeking treatment for a gunshot wound at University Hospital. According to the victim, he was walking on Springfield Avenue when a black SUV approached, and its passenger fired shots at him. After fleeing, the victim was transported to the hospital by a helpful driver and is currently in stable condition, though he could not pinpoint the exact location of the attack.
Detectives have identified Carissa Huggins as a person of interest in this case and are appealing to the public for information on her whereabouts.
