This arrest was originally reported by Shore News Network on Saturday.

The collision, which happened at the intersection of West County Line Road and Laurelwood Avenue, involved Bakst driving a 2023 Tesla Y. According to Lakewood Police Captain Greg Staffordsmith, Bakst was driving recklessly and significantly over the speed limit at the time of the accident, reaching speeds of 88.6 mph in a zone designated for 45 mph.
