WHEELING, WV – In a significant move against drug trafficking, federal authorities executed five search warrants this morning, leading to the arrest of Quavonte Pugh, 28, in Wheeling, West Virginia. The operation is part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking activities in the region.

United States Attorney William Ihlenfeld confirmed that the warrants targeted three homes in Wheeling, WV, and two in Bellaire, OH, all conducted without incident. Pugh faces charges for his intent to deliver fentanyl, cocaine, and crack cocaine. Already known to authorities due to a previous federal drug distribution conviction, Pugh was apprehended at his residence on Carmel Road and is currently held at the Northern Regional Jail awaiting a detention hearing.

The search efforts led to the recovery of controlled substances, firearms, and cash. The Ohio Valley Drug Task Force, a coalition of the Wheeling Police Department, the Ohio County Sheriff’s Department, the West Virginia State Police, and the Drug Enforcement Administration, is leading the investigation.
