New Jersey Army Recruiter Arrested for Sexual Assault of Minor

HAMILTON, NJ – Shawn C. Nguyen, a 44-year-old man from Egg Harbor Township, was arrested by the Township of Hamilton Police Department on charges related to the assault of a minor. The arrest on March 11th concludes an investigation initiated in June 2022, following a report of a distressed female at 4262 Black Horse Pike.

Instead of being all he can be, Nguyen is accused of sexual assault of a young girl.

Investigations revealed Nguyen, in his capacity as a New Jersey Army National Guard recruiter, committed the assault against a 16-year-old girl.

Nguyen faces charges including sexual assault, criminal sexual contact, endangering the welfare of a child, and official misconduct. He is currently held at the Atlantic County Justice Facility awaiting trial. The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office and the New Jersey State Police – Fugitive Unit contributed to the investigation.
