New York, NY – A 17-year-old male was assaulted and stabbed by a group of unidentified assailants near West 42 Street and 7 Avenue on Thursday evening.
The incident, which occurred at approximately 5:30 PM, began with a verbal dispute that quickly escalated into a physical confrontation. The victim was punched and kicked repeatedly before sustaining a stab wound to the back.
Emergency services transported him to NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue, where he was listed in stable condition. Following the attack, the group of individuals fled on foot and were last observed entering the Times Square subway station.
Authorities are currently searching for eight suspects in connection with the assault. Five are described as having light complexions, and three are described as having medium complexions.
