One Dead And Two Critically Injured In Fatal D.C. Shooting

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The D.C. Metro Police Department’s Homicide Branch is actively investigating a shooting incident in Northeast, D.C., which resulted in one fatality and two critical injuries Wednesday night.

At around 9:40 p.m., police were called to the 1700 block of North Capitol Street after reports of gunfire were received. On arrival, officers found two men with gunshot wounds—one inside a business premises and the other outside.

Both individuals were quickly transported to a local hospital. One of the men succumbed to his injuries, while the second victim is battling for his life in critical condition. A third man, also suffering from gunshot wounds, later presented himself at a hospital and is in a critical state.

The deceased has been identified as a 26-year-old Malon Nurse from Upper Marlboro, MD. D.C. Metro Police are urging anyone with information on the incident to come forward and contact them at 202-727-9099 or anonymously text their tip line at 50411.
