Allegheny County Police Detain Suspect in Late-Night Shooting

Moon Township, PA – The Allegheny County Police have arrested Gregory Slade, a 36-year-old man from Ambridge, in relation to a shooting that occurred early this morning.

The incident was reported to County 9-1-1 at 12:05 am, with police and first responders arriving at the 1100 block of Maple Street Extension to find a 23-year-old male with gunshot wounds to his lower leg. Further investigation revealed the victim had been shot multiple times in the lower extremities and was subsequently hospitalized in stable condition.

Following a request for assistance from the Moon Township Police, the Allegheny County Police Department’s General Investigations Unit took over the investigation. It was established that the victim was in a home with a group, including Slade, who fired several shots at him. A search of the premises led to the discovery of ammunition and a firearm.

Slade now faces multiple charges, including aggravated assault and illegal possession of a firearm, and is being held at the Allegheny County Jail awaiting arraignment.
