Cliffside Park, NJ – Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella has confirmed that a bomb threat reported on Friday afternoon in Cliffside Park has been thoroughly investigated and deemed not a threat to public safety.
The alarming report came in at 12:41 p.m., prompting an immediate response from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Intelligence and Counterterrorism Unit, alongside the Cliffside Park Police Department. The incident centered around the 500 block of Anderson Avenue.
To ensure the safety of the community, the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad was dispatched to the scene for a comprehensive sweep of the area. This precautionary measure was part of a standard response protocol to meticulously assess and neutralize potential threats.
After a detailed examination, the Bomb Squad concluded their search by determining that there were no threats present, allowing residents to safely return to their homes and daily activities around 5:30 p.m.
