Man Critically Injured Shot On The Sidewalk In D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Metropolitan Police Department is urgently calling for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a recent Northwest D.C. shooting that occurred late yesterday afternoon.

Around 5:48 p.m., D.C. officers were dispatched to the 900 block of New York Avenue following reports of an unconscious individual. On arrival, they discovered an adult male with a gunshot wound. The victim was swiftly taken to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

Further investigation by detectives pinpointed the location of the offense to the 900 block of K Street in Northwest.

Surveillance footage has captured the suspect in question. Police are looking for a man in a black sweatsuit with a black backpack. He was last seen traveling eastbound in the 900 block of K Street.
