COLUMBUS, OH – On July 26, 2020, a shooting occurred at the intersection of E. 5th Avenue and Joyce Avenue, resulting in two victims with gunshot wounds.
Dalan Wellman was pronounced deceased, while the other victim survived.
The Franklin County Grand Jury brought forward murder indictments on December 14, 2023, against Aaron Clark, Marquis Smith, and Gvon Thornton.
The arrests took place over several months, with Gvon Thornton apprehended on Wednesday.
Marquis Smith was detained on December 27, 2023, while Aaron Clark was already in custody at the Franklin County Jail on separate charges. All suspects are now in custody, charged with Murder and Felonious Assault.
