64-Year-Old Woman Killed in Early Morning Hit & Run In Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – A tragic hit-and-run incident has occurred in Baltimore, leading to the untimely death of a pedestrian. On Sunday morning, at around 4:02 a.m., Baltimore police officers were dispatched to the 3500 block of Reisterstown Road following reports of an injured pedestrian on the roadway.

Upon arrival, officers found a female victim and immediately rendered aid. She was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital but, despite the best efforts of medical personnel, was pronounced deceased.

The victim has been identified as 64-year-old Wilma Barnes. CRASH Team investigators, who took over the investigation at the scene, believe Ms. Barnes was struck by an unidentified black vehicle. In a disheartening turn of events, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene after the incident.

The Baltimore Police Department is now actively seeking information regarding the incident or the vehicle involved.
