BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – Baltimore Police arrested an 18-year-old male in the Central District yesterday for his involvement in a vehicle theft. The arrest followed a license plate reader (LPR) notification about a car reported stolen two days earlier, on January 19.
The Baltimore Community Intelligence Center aided the Central District officers in locating and tracking the stolen vehicle. They apprehended the suspect on the 1600 block of E. Eager Street, where he was identified as the driver of the stolen car.
The suspect is currently held at the Central District station for further investigation. The police have not yet released information regarding the charges or future legal proceedings. This case underscores the role of LPR technology and police collaboration in tackling vehicle theft incidents.
