NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is actively seeking information about two individuals involved in a robbery at the Grand Avenue-Newton subway station.
The incident occurred on the southbound “R” platform on Tuesday, around 2:30 pm.
The two suspects approached a 54-year-old male, forcibly taking his cellphone. When chased by the victim, one suspect brandished a knife before both fled.
No injuries were reported. The NYPD has released descriptions of the suspects and asks anyone with information to come forward.
The first suspect is a 20-year-old male with a dark complexion, approximately 5’5″ tall, last seen wearing a black medical mask and a black bubble jacket. The second, also 20 years old, has a light complexion, about 5’6″ tall, last seen wearing a red jacket.
