FRANKFORD, DE – The Delaware State Police have taken 47-year-old Casey Whitman of Frankford into custody following a traffic stop on Saturday.
The incident occurred around 10:38 p.m. on Gum Tree Road near Dupont Boulevard when a trooper flagged Whitman’s gray Ford F-250 for a fictitious tag.
Upon interaction, Whitman exhibited signs of impairment and attempted to conceal items from her purse.
A search led to the discovery of suspected crack cocaine, heroin, and drug paraphernalia. Accompanying Whitman was a 55-year-old woman with active warrants, who was also detained.
Whitman, with four prior DUI convictions, faces several charges including 5th Offense DUI and drug possession. She was arraigned and is currently held at the Delores J. Baylor Correctional Institution on a $6804 cash bond.
