Stalking, Rape, False Imprisonment Charges Filed Against Bronx Suspect

BRONX, NY – Christopher Marrero, a 23-year-old resident of Bronx, NY, has been apprehended and charged with a series of crimes.

On Thursday, the New York City Police Department arrested Marrero at 1436 Crotona Park East. His charges include sex abuse, two counts of attempted sex abuse, attempted rape, three counts of unlawful imprisonment, and two counts of stalking.

Additionally, the NYPD is seeking information regarding Marrero’s involvement in two attempted sexual assaults. The first incident occurred on Sunday, December 31, around 10:10 am near 16th Street and 5th Avenue. Marrero allegedly followed a 21-year-old woman, attempting to drag her into a secluded area. She escaped without requiring medical attention.

The second incident, on the same day at approximately 12:00 pm, involved a 24-year-old woman near 14th Street and 5th Avenue. Marrero allegedly entered a restroom after her, attempting to remove her clothing. She managed to leave the restroom safely, and he fled the scene.
