BALTIMORE, MD – The family of PD Edwards is desperately seeking answers after his tragic murder in Baltimore City, with his body later discovered in a river in New Jersey. The case, which remains unsolved, has left the family in anguish and the community in shock.
Two months ago, Edwards, described by his sister, Torento Brown, as a father and a friend known for his willingness to help others, was last heard from. Investigations revealed that he was shot and killed outside his residence on North Decker Avenue in Baltimore. His car was later found damaged and abandoned in Baltimore County, but there was no sign of Edwards until a fisherman discovered his body, wrapped in plastic, floating in a New Jersey river on December 9th.
WJZ News reported on the incident this week.
In the interview, Brown expressed her grief and frustration over the brutal manner of her brother’s death, stating, “I am angry because my brother was treated like garbage, and he does not deserve this.”
She remembered Edwards as a person with a larger-than-life personality, always ready to assist those in need.
The impact of Edwards’ death on his family is profound and enduring. Brown lamented, “You may have ended his life, but we carry the pain from it, and we will never be the same.” In an effort to find the perpetrator, Metro Crime Stoppers has offered an $8,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
Despite strong leads, the Baltimore Police Department has yet to make any arrests in the case. The family, along with the community, is calling for justice and urging anyone with information to come forward. The hope is that the reward and public appeal will prompt someone to provide the crucial details needed to solve this heinous crime and bring closure to a grieving family.
