WARREN TOWNSHIP, NJ – Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald, alongside Chief of Detectives Francisco Roman Jr. and the Warren Township Police Department, announced the arrest of Javon E. Singletary, 18, of Phillipsburg, NJ, Tristine J. Fleetwood, 19, of Seaford, DE, and a 17-year-old juvenile male from Phillipsburg, NJ.
The incident occurred on Thursday, January 4, 2024, around 3:30 PM, when a Warren Township Police Officer pulled over a vehicle driven by Fleetwood on Hillcrest Road near Interstate 78. The vehicle was found to have a stolen license plate. Further investigation revealed that Singletary and the juvenile male each had a loaded handgun, one of which was identified as a suspected “ghost-gun.” The juvenile was also found in possession of a high-capacity magazine.
Fleetwood was charged with Receiving Stolen Property, a Disorderly Persons Offense, and was released on her own recognizance. Singletary faces a charge of Unlawful Possession of a Handgun, a 2nd-degree offense, and is currently held in Somerset County Jail awaiting a detention hearing. The juvenile male was charged with a Juvenile Delinquency Complaint for Unlawful Possession of a Handgun (2nd degree) and Unlawful Possession of a High-Capacity Magazine (4th degree). He is lodged at the Middlesex County Youth Detention Center pending a Family Court appearance.
