WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Homicide Branch of the Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department has made a significant breakthrough in a murder case from October. An arrest has been made in connection with the shooting that resulted in the death of a man in Northeast D.C.
The initial incident occurred on October 16th, around 5:29 a.m. Officers were called to the scene in the 1500 block of Maryland Avenue following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they found 28-year-old Davon Fuller, a resident of Northwest D.C., suffering from gunshot wounds. Fuller was rushed to a local hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
On December 27th, 28-year-old Deandre Miles from Northeast D.C. surrendered himself to the Homicide Branch. Following his surrender, Miles was charged under a DC Superior Court arrest warrant for First Degree Murder while Armed.
