NORFOLK, VA – A shooting on Lindenwood Avenue has resulted in the death of one man and injury to another, leading to the arrest of two men and one woman.
The incident occurred Wednesday evening, shortly after 8:00 p.m. Norfolk Police responded to 826 Lindenwood Avenue following a report of a gunshot victim. On arrival, officers found 84-year-old James R. Carter of Norfolk with a life-threatening gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Another man, suffering from a gunshot wound, later arrived at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Detectives believe these two incidents are connected.
Investigations revealed a dispute outside a store that escalated into the shooting.
Dennis C. Hisle, 42, has been charged with second-degree murder, malicious wounding, and two counts of firearm use. Bruce G. Hisle, 40, faces charges for firearm possession by a felon and ammunition possession by a felon. Additionally, Tamika Credle, 41, has been charged with being an accessory after the fact.
