As the woman attempted to escape by heading up the escalator, the assailant grabbed her, pulled down her pants, and tried to rape her. She fought to call 911, but the attacker snatched her cellphone and threw it over the escalator side before fleeing the station on foot. No injuries, but serious charges loom The victim was not physically injured, police said. The attacker fled to an unknown location, and has not been seen since. The NYPD is treating the case as an attempted rape and robbery due to the destruction of the victim’s phone. The man is described as being between 25 and 35 years old, with a light complexion, approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing around 120 pounds, with a thin build and black hair. He was last seen wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, dark blue jeans, and white sneakers. NEW YORK, NY — A man who shoved an elderly man into the tracks of the NYC subway system at Rockefeller Center has been arraigned in Manhattan.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin L. Bragg, Jr. announced today the indictment of Brittan Jones, 30, for allegedly assaulting an elderly man at the Rockefeller Center subway station. Jones faces charges of Attempted Assault in the First Degree and Assault in the Second Degree.

According to the indictment, on November 15 at 5:40 AM, Jones engaged in an altercation with an 85-year-old man sleeping on a bench at the station. The incident escalated when Jones reportedly pushed the victim onto the subway tracks. The victim sustained a fractured hip, among other injuries.

Responding to a 911 call, NYPD, FDNY, and MTA personnel rescued the victim from the tracks. He received treatment at Mount Sinai West.
