Police Respond to Bomb Threat Hoax in Lancaster

LANCASTER, PA – On Tuesday, the Lancaster City Bureau of Police responded to a bomb threat at Lancaster Central Market.

The threat, received by Trip Advisor, claimed a bomb was placed in the market.

The Bureau, in coordination with Central Market authorities, evacuated and searched the area with the assistance of explosives detection K-9 units from Dauphin County.

After the search, no suspicious items were found, and the area was declared safe for public return. This incident is part of a series of similar unfounded threats received across the county and state in recent weeks.

The public is asked to report any suspicious activities to 911 immediately.
