Teen Arrested for Armed Robbery in Mt. Oliver

MT. OLIVER, PA – A 16-year-old, identified as James Beasley, was arrested following an armed robbery in Mt. Oliver. The incident occurred at 12:58 PM on December 18, in the 700 block of Hays Avenue.

Allegheny County Police were called to assist Mt. Oliver Police after a victim reported an armed robbery. The victim, who came to sell a custom-built PC initiated through Facebook Marketplace, was confronted by three males, one of whom displayed a firearm and stole the computer.

During the investigation, detectives observed five individuals in dark clothing near the scene. Beasley, matching the suspect description, was apprehended after a foot pursuit. A search warrant led to the recovery of the stolen computer and other items from Beasley’s residence.

Beasley is being charged as an adult with multiple offenses, including robbery and illegal possession of a firearm by a minor. A second juvenile was taken into custody but released without charges.
