NEW YORK, NY – The NYPD is investigating a theft that occurred at the Roosevelt Avenue – Jackson Heights Station on Saturday, December 9. At around 10:15 PM, a 21-year-old man was robbed of his wallet while standing on the southbound E platform.
The victim’s wallet, containing identification, a debit card, and approximately $1000 in cash, was taken by an unknown male assailant. The suspect then fled on foot, heading north on 73 Street towards 37 Avenue.
Authorities described the suspect as a slim-built male with a light complexion. He was last observed wearing a black jacket, gray hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and dark sneakers. There were no injuries reported from the incident.
The investigation is ongoing as police seek to identify and apprehend the individual involved.
