NEW YORK, NY – A robbery and assault incident was reported at the 1st Avenue Station on Friday, December 15. At about 3:30 AM, a 28-year-old man was attacked while standing on the southbound L platform.
The assailant, approaching from behind, pushed the victim to the ground, leading to a physical altercation. During the struggle, the perpetrator forcibly took the victim’s personal identification and a debit card.
After the incident, the assailant fled the scene on foot in an undetermined direction. The victim suffered a non-life-threatening injury to his hand and received treatment at Mount Sinai Beth Israel.

The suspect is described as a 45-year-old male with a light complexion, standing 5’9’’ tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds. He has short dark hair and a goatee. His attire at the time included a gray jacket, a blue sweatshirt with “Champion” in white lettering, dark pants, and dark sneakers.
