ST. ALBANS, NY — An early morning shooting on Tuesday in St. Albans resulted in one fatality and one injury.
The New York Police Department’s officers responded to the intersection of 199th Street and Hollis Avenue, near the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, around 5 a.m. following reports of a double shooting.
Officers found two men, aged 31 and 32, with gunshot wounds to their torsos. Emergency Medical Services rushed the 31-year-old to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The 32-year-old victim was taken to North Shore University Hospital in stable condition. The NYPD has not released the deceased’s identity, pending family notification.
Currently, no arrests have been made, and the motive for the shooting remains unknown. The investigation is ongoing.
