FORT MYERS, FL – The Lee County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Cody Guinn, born April 10, 1995, following a road rage shooting on Palm Beach Boulevard. The incident took place on Tuesday, December 12th, in the 12000 block of the Boulevard.

Sheriff Carmine Marceno emphasized the importance of safety for motorists, stating his commitment to addressing road rage incidents and ensuring public safety.

The conflict began when Guinn attempted to merge into the victim’s lane on Palm Beach Blvd near Joel Blvd. Following the victim’s failure to yield, Guinn responded aggressively, first by throwing an object at the victim’s windshield. The situation escalated at the intersection of Palm Beach Blvd and Buckingham Rd, where Guinn exited his truck, shouting and throwing another object at the victim.

As the victim attempted to leave, Guinn drew a firearm and fired a round, hitting the front passenger side door of the victim’s vehicle. Detectives later arrested Guinn at a business on Palm Beach Blvd, where they also located a firearm in his vehicle.
