Arrest Made in Oxon Hill Road Rage Fatal Shooting

OXON HILL, MD – Michael Derrington, a 46-year-old resident of Oxon Hill, has been apprehended by the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit for his alleged involvement in a road rage incident that resulted in a fatality.

The victim, 47-year-old Neris Requeno Rodriguez of Temple Hills, succumbed to a gunshot wound following the altercation.

The incident occurred on November 30, around 5:55 pm, at the 6000 block of Oxon Hill Road. Officers, upon arriving at the scene, found Rodriguez in a vehicle with a gunshot wound. He was rushed to the hospital but later died from his injuries.

Investigations indicate that the fatal shooting stemmed from a road rage dispute between Derrington and Rodriguez. Derrington now faces charges of first and second-degree murder, among other related offenses. He is currently held by the Department of Corrections.
