CALVERT COUNTY, MD – On November 25th, Deputy MacWilliams of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to a theft report at the Walmart on Solomons Island Road in Prince Frederick. The suspect, identified as 35-year-old Matthew Leo Greening, was accused of shoplifting various food items.
The investigation revealed that Greening, who has no fixed address, stole two Cinnamon Toast Crunch milk, two boxes of Pepperidge Farm Milano cookies, and one ham and cheese Lunchable from the store. He reportedly left Walmart without paying for these items, passing all final points of sale.
As a result of this incident, Greening was charged with theft of less than $100.00. This case highlights the ongoing efforts of local law enforcement to address retail theft in the community. The Calvert County Sheriff’s Office continues to enforce laws against shoplifting and other forms of petty theft.
