BALTIMORE, MD – The Baltimore Police Department has reported a significant arrest in an attempted murder case dating back to 2020.
On October 21, 2020, around 7:15 PM, police officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of North Montford Avenue following reports of an aggravated assault. They found a 37-year-old male with head lacerations. The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Initial investigations indicated the victim was stabbed during a dispute with another male. Further inquiries led to the identification of the suspect as 37-year-old Alvin Cureton from Baltimore. A warrant for Cureton’s arrest was issued by detectives.
On December 1, 2023, detectives apprehended Alvin Cureton. They believe Cureton is responsible for the stabbing incident on North Montford Avenue. Following his arrest, Cureton was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he faces charges of Attempted 2nd degree murder, among others.
