Jealous Pennsylvania Doc Sets Ex-Boyfriend's 99-Year-Old Grandma's Home On Fire

LOWER MERION, PA – Dr. Amy Cohen, 35, is currently facing multiple charges, including attempted murder, aggravated assault, arson, and terroristic threats. The charges stem from a series of incidents involving threatening flyers and an arson attack targeting the grandmother of her ex-boyfriend’s new girlfriend. The investigation began on November 24th, following a report to Lower Merion police about a disturbing flyer left at the home of a 99-year-old woman.

The flyer contained photos of the woman’s granddaughters with their eyes crossed out, alongside threatening messages. One message addressed the grandmother directly, using derogatory terms to describe her granddaughters and demanding they quit their jobs and leave Pennsylvania. A second letter sent to another family member accused the granddaughters of promoting Islamophobia, again threatening them with harm if they did not leave the state.

The family reported the threats to Lower Merion police, the FBI, and the Anti-Defamation League. The case escalated when Dr. Cohen allegedly set fire to the porch of the grandmother’s home. The charges against Cohen reflect the seriousness of the offenses as law enforcement continues to investigate the full extent of the threats and actions involved.
