NEW YORK– A deadly attack resulting in the death of a 17-year-old male, Rocco Rodden of Warren, New Jersey, has led to the arrest of 19-year-old Gianluca Bordone from Oyster Bay, NY. The arrest occurred on Wednesday, November 23, at 10:40 pm, within the confines of the 5th Precinct.
The attack happened outside Live Axe. The two victims were brothers who got into an altercation with Rodden. Rodden pulled a sharp object and stabbed the two, killing the younger brother.
The incident initially came to light in the early hours of Thursday, November 23, when police responded to a 911 call at 96 Lafayette Street. Upon arrival, officers found two males with stab wounds to the torso – Rodden, 17, and another 19-year-old male. Rodden was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue, where he was pronounced deceased. The other victim, also 19, was taken to the same hospital and is in stable condition.
Bordone faces charges of manslaughter and assault in connection with this incident. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to piece together the events leading up to the fatal altercation.
