BALTIMORE, MD – The Baltimore Police Department has reported a significant development in an attempted murder case stemming from an incident that occurred earlier this month.
On November 9, 2023, at approximately 9:58 a.m., officers from the Eastern District responded to a report of a cutting in the 1400 block of East North Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered a 30-year-old male victim suffering from stab wounds to the torso. The victim was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The investigation led detectives to uncover that the stabbing occurred following an altercation at a business located in the 2000 block of Harford Road. The victim, after being stabbed, managed to flee to East North Avenue, where he eventually received assistance from the police and medical personnel.
Through investigative efforts, detectives were able to identify 39-year-old Demont Williams as the suspect. On November 12, 2023, a warrant for Williams’ arrest was issued. The following day, on November 13, Warrant Apprehension detectives successfully apprehended Williams in the 2000 block of Harford Road.
Demont Williams has been transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he faces charges related to the attempted murder. The Baltimore Police Department has not disclosed the specific charges at this time.
