NEW YORK CITY, N.Y. – The New York City Police Department has made an arrest in an assault case. Brittan Jones, a 30-year-old male from York, PA, was apprehended on Wednesday, facing charges of assault and reckless endangerment.
The incident occurred earlier that day, around 5:40 AM, on the southbound platform of the B and D trains at West 47th Street and The Avenue of the Americas.
Jones reportedly had a dispute with an 85-year-old male, resulting in the victim being pushed onto the subway tracks.
The elderly victim suffered a laceration on his left knee but is in stable condition after receiving medical attention.
The NYPD continues to request public assistance in locating Jones. He is described as approximately 5’8” tall, of medium complexion and build, last seen wearing black pants, a black long sleeve shirt, a grey hooded sweatshirt, and carrying a black coat.
